Very good restaurant at very fair prices. Definitely a recommendation !!

What a great evening! The long wait for the main meal was charmingly bridged with a greeting from the kitchen. This alone was a treat for the palate! But the main meal topped it all off. Everything was just right! The Angus back steak was on point, a treat. The side dishes and the salad were great! Nothing came out of the bucket, let alone 08/15 dressing. That was fresh cuisine at its best, chapeau!

The "St. Wendelin" restaurant is located at the exit of the village Weir stack towards Meschede, near the church. The owners Sigrid and Wendelin Schulte advertise with the slogan, - hospitality has a name - and this is exactly what is to be taken literally. During our multiple visits, we and our companions were always pleasantly surprised. The tastefully designed dishes show excellent technical skills not only in dealing with spices. The eyes are also not disappointed for appetizing stimulation. Repeat visits were a nice break from everyday life with friendliness and enjoyment. In a cozy atmosphere, in the style of a farmer's bar, embellished with a modern decoration, lingering is a relaxation. With the order of the selected dishes, you simply have a full evening program in good company and it some lose their sense of time. Despite the many clocks sometimes beat the hour with a muffled sound. The plentiful servings usually require a drink to improve wellbeing according to an old house recipe, which then concludes in the pub at the counter. There, too, you are quickly in the action and often do not want to go home yet. A further journey is certainly worthwhile, since the prices almost always undercut the performance. All the people who accompanied us there talk about what they have experienced each time and want to enjoy it again. This evaluation has been confirmed several times and is correct. The restaurant still has a problem point. It is not suitable for the disabled, since the toilet facilities are in the basement, so they are an obstacle for wheelchair users. In the adjacent beer garden with the "Schafstall" beer garden hut, there is no barrier to its operation.

The restaurant is incredibly charming. Very rustic and cozy from the atmosphere. The food is not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Alone the starter salad is an absolute reason for visiting this restaurant. On Friday evenings there is also the best buffet I ever had the chance to try. I highly recommend it.

It is a sympathetic restaurant, comfortably furnished. Have waited almost ne hours for food. Had then with the appetizer a dissonance (spaghetti soup) it was not charged but without a nice gesture just continued. The main course was OK but we will not visit it again.

Special experience! Incredibly old-fashioned restaurant as if you were in a film setting. It seems as if time has stood still here for at least a hundred years, but we still enjoyed it. We ate delicious, really classic dishes, wonderfully freshly prepared, Asparagus with schnitzels were really good! A bit of a culture shock for the hip millennial!

The first time been there. The wait for the food was worth it. It was very, very good. If I am close again, I will eat there again.
